Jordan has been working full-time as a test prep instructor for over seven years, and has helped over a thousand students get into college, law school, and business school. He is a Fordham Law graduate and a New York licensed attorney, but his true passion is bringing knowledge to others. He has scored in the 99th percentile on every exam that he teaches, and is familiar with a number of different resources that can be easily adapted to serve each student's individual needs. Tutoring can only be successful in an environment of trust. The classroom must be a "no judgment zone," where mistakes become lessons, not regrets. Jordan enjoys working with students of all levels of ability, including those who qualify for accommodated testing. How much will I need to study? All students learn at their own pace, but the average student needs between 150-200 hours of study to realize his or her full potential. This includes tutoring sessions, practice questions, and self-study. Some students are highly self-motivated and only need weekly sessions to stay focused and refine their test approach. Others prefer more direct guidance and will want to meet two or three times per week. We will work together to develop the best plan for you. Where will we meet? Jordan has access to professional classrooms in Midtown Manhattan for local sessions. These classrooms are typically equipped with electronic whiteboards and/or overhead projectors for a professional and private tutoring experience. Online sessions via Skype are available as well. How much does tutoring cost? Jordan charges $250 per hour for tutoring, with a minimum of one hour sessions, although he strongly recommends two hour sessions for the best results. |
